GREEN ACTIVE CITIZENS
Life in the world is changing rapidly and it is necessary for us, educators to make students aware of the changes that take place around them. Students are not fully aware of the ways the waste can be managed and upcycled, and schools are the best platforms to teach them how to contribute to a cleaner environment with less pollution. Through the project, they are expected to gain green skills in their daily lives as much as possible, and to start using recyclable items, upcycling and reusing some items, as well as raising awareness of our over-consuming society, most of which is a duty all citizens should know. Therefore, our project is based on environmentally friendly solutions in our school communities and we aim at having students actively involved in becoming green active citizens and offering them to make their voices heard in and outside the classroom by looking for alternatives to promote a healthy lifestyle.
