February holiday in Tunisia

During the first week of February, students in Tunisia enjoy a week-long holiday, during which they prepare for exams. Here in Hazoua, in addition to reviewing lessons, the students enjoy this holiday by camping in the desert, playing in the sand dunes under the warm sun, and preparing the most delicious traditional foods, such as "malla bread", which is cooked on embers under the sand. In addition to all of this, families hold private wedding parties. This holiday comes after the end of the date harvesting season, and this year the holiday coincided with the Hazawa International Festival, and it is also another opportunity for students to spend an enjoyable time by watching folkloric artistic performances.

These pictures represent some of the customs of the people of Hazwa
