FEAST Feeding Europe Applying Sustainable Technologies

The goal of the project FEAST (Feeding Europe Applying Sustainable Technologies) is to answer the following question: « How can we feed Europe in a sustainable way, given its growing population and cultural diversity ? ». The topic allows for various approaches, from different perspectives, using examples from the 11 partner countries. Project work will be organized through mini-projects (e.g. journalistic, science fair or artistic work) in participant countries. Results of students' work will be presented on a website. In order to facilitate the navigation in this website, each report posted on the website will be presented by a video trailer. Artwork produced by the students, in the reports and in the trailers, will be strongly encouraged, but not mandatory. Project work will be organized in three stages and three paths (past, present and future) and will be monitored through the meetings. The initial meeting will be followed by meetings hosted by participating countries, and dealing with the three paths as well as reporting work in-progress; and a final meeting. At each meeting mini-projects from all the partner countries will be presented. Participation in these meetings should be balanced. All countries attend the starting and final meetings, host one meeting and participate in at least one meeting. The host country will be responsible for organizing the activities at the meeting and preparing a final product from the meeting. The project addresses the Europe 2020 strategy, relating to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. Participation in the project will be confirmed through the Europass.
