Environmentally Friendly Children Discover Nature with STEAM

Environmental problems that societies face today, such as climate change, rapid depletion of natural resources and ecosystem degradation, make the importance of sustainable living practices and recycling even more evident. The project was initiated because sustainability requires actions at both individual and collective levels; Studies will be conducted on what sustainable living is, the basic principles, advantages and social importance of recycling. The aim of the project is to strengthen students' relationships with nature and to enable them to gain a love of nature and environmental awareness. They will produce unique projects by combining STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) disciplines. In our project, which aims to create innovative products through the transfer of knowledge between the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics, the meeting of STEAM with Art, known as the basic field where creativity, which is the most important skill, can be revealed, is included to reveal the art-based creativity of our students. It is among the sole goals of our project. Additionally, with our project, our students will learn many Web 2.0 tools. Our project covers children between the ages of 4-14. Our project will start in December 2024 and be completed in May 2025.
