With digital voices to competencies for future

The project "With digital voices to competencies for future" stems from the evolving demands of the EU's economy, where the need for specific knowledge, skills, and attitudes is constantly changing. To navigate these changes, individuals must possess a set of key competencies defined by the Council of Europe, including literacy, multilingualism, scientific skills, digital competence, interpersonal skills, active citizenship, entrepreneurship, and cultural awareness. These competencies are essential for personal fulfillment, employability, social inclusion, and active citizenship. The project includes activities like developing methodologies for using audio podcasts in education, creating video tutorials for podcast production, establishing a web platform for sharing resources, organizing an international summer camp, producing podcasts in native languages, purchasing podcasting equipment, and conducting teacher training courses on international podcasts. Additionally, there will be the creation of international podcasts between schools. The project emphasizes the development of key competencies, including active citizenship, which fosters a sense of belonging to a common European space. It encourages students to engage with European values, understand the importance of civic participation, and appreciate cultural diversity, thereby contributing to the cultivation of a shared European identity. By focusing on the use of audio podcasts as an educational tool, the project aligns with the European priority of addressing digital transformation. The project facilitates collaboration between schools and organizations from various European countries, enabling a rich exchange of educational methodologies, cultural perspectives, and best practices. This transnational partnership fosters mutual understanding and respect among participants from diverse backgrounds, contributing to the European goal of enhancing social cohesion and intercultural dialogue. By ensuring the translation of intellectual outputs into multiple languages and encouraging the creation of podcasts in students' mother tongues, the project addresses inclusivity and accessibility at a European level. This approach ensures that language barriers do not impede participation and that the project's benefits are accessible to a wide and diverse audience across Europe. The project's focus on developing a comprehensive methodology for using audio podcasts to enhance key competencies among students is in line with the European Framework for Key Competencies for Lifelong Ƶing. The collaborative and innovative nature of the project ensures that these competencies are developed in a manner that reflects European values and priorities, preparing students for active and informed participation in a rapidly changing world.
