The present project intends to work on a series of key topics in today's Europe. First of all, the cultural, ethnographic and historical heritage that has contributed to shape the different communities in our countries and regions. Secondly, and the other cornerstone of the project, the natural spaces, both biological and geographic, that surround us and the current or potential environmental issues that may threaten their flora, fauna and ultimately, our welfare. These issues will be dealt with by using innovative methodologies, such as task-based, project-based and communicative activities. Multimedia resources will definitely be key to our final product. The ultimate aim of this project is to raise awareness, not only in the students, but also in the teachers involved, of the importance to appreciate, respect and tolerate the different cultures, traditions, history and natural environment that constitute Europe as a unified (though diverse) entity that we must all preserve.
