Climate Change and Biodiversity

The General Assembly of the United Nations declared the year 2020 as the International Year of Plant Health, ending a whole decade dedicated to Biodiversity. This brings increased public awareness to the importance of plant health in solving global issues relating to threats to the environment and the importance of safeguarding biodiversity for the continuity of life on earth. Furthermore, we have witnessed many changes around the world. pertaining to rises in temperatures, leading to fires, drought, floods, etc. There is a general concern for global warming and climate change, which have many groups of people demonstrating and calling out to government officials to create measures to protect the planet before we all become extinct. This project is an excellent opportunity to show the students the importance of preserving and protecting the environment and maintaining life on earth, by discovering reasons for climate change and how to counteract through the use of organic production, a
