Student teachers from the teacher education institutes (universities) get to know each other online. Using English to communicate they practice and improve language skills and help each other using the language. Once the students know each other, they will collaborate in mixed teams to complete some assignments, to explore and discuss key global topics. The topics are related to the Global Sustainability Goals e.g., SDG#4 Quality of education, SDG#5 Gender Equality, SDG#10 Reduce Inequalities, or SDG#13 Climate Action and another relevant global theme. Collaboratively the teams explore how their knowledge, opinion and experience regarding that theme may be similar or different. The goal being to uncover the “different stories” about global issues present in the group. At the end each team expresses their gained understanding of acting as a global citizen (global citizenship) and ideas for Global Citizenship classroom activity by creating an audio-visual presentation.
