Bridges of Remembrance: Ƶing, Honouring and Connecting Together

“Bridges of Remembrance: Ƶing, Honouring and Connecting Together” is an eTwinning and Erasmus project between schools in Belgium and Poland, focused on intercultural exchange, shared history, and mutual respect. Through online collaboration and physical exchanges, students explore each other’s cultures, traditions, and daily life. A central theme is the commemoration of Polish soldiers who helped liberate Belgium during World War II, with special attention to General Stanisław Maczek and the Polish 1st Armoured Division. Through creative activities—such as writing a poem, composing a song, and creating a digital magazine—students build bridges of remembrance, peace, and friendship. The project fosters language skills, historical awareness, and active European citizenship.
