All European countries encounter similar problems and challenges nowadays in the fields of safety, integration, young people leaving school without completing it and (consequently) high numbers of youth unemployment. For all these items, countries try to find solutions that are suitable for the national needs, whilst most of these problems/challenges could probably better be solved in a common European way. People can help and learn from each other. All together, we will try to build bridges between people in order to get to common solutions, leading to the title of the project Bridges to the future, which is aimed at young people in different European countries building bridges in working out common solutions to meet the challenges described as well as drawing as much as possible teenagers' attention to these problems. The emphasis will be on three items that are of great importance for young people in all countries: - School drop-outs - Social inclusion - juvenile criminality
