Blue Schools Water Footprint Application 

Dear partners,

We’re excited to share the first version of our student water usage tracking app with you for pilot testing.

This app is built with AppSheet, a Google-supported, no-code platform, based on Excel/Google Sheets. It’s free to use and ideal for educational projects.

♻️ Zero Waste Day – March 30 Activity Plan

To celebrate International Zero Waste Day, our school will organize creative and educational activities to promote sustainability and highlight the goals of the EU Green Deal.

Why It Matters:

The Blue Economy depends on protecting our marine ecosystems. It focuses on reducing environmental waste and preventing the pollution of water resources. Every action we take to reduce, reuse, and recycle helps preserve oceans, rivers, and lakes for future generations.

Activities Include:

Recycled Material Creations: Students will design useful or artistic items from waste (e.g., bottles, cartons, fabric).

Green Avatar Videos: Students will create avatars using tools like Voki to explain how reducing waste supports the Blue Economy and Green Deal.

Zero Waste School Action Board: A display where students share pledges, tips, and posters promoting a waste-free lifestyle.


Together, we will show that “Less Waste Means a Bluer, Cleaner Planet!”

Hi to all, As part of our first activity, we organized awareness-raising wall painting activities and a "Do Not Waste Water" initiative at our school. These activities aimed to highlight the importance of water conservation and encourage students to be more mindful of their water usage. Through creative artwork and interactive discussions, we emphasized the value of every drop of water and inspired our school community to adopt more sustainable habits. We look forward to seeing the amazing initiatives from other schools as we continue working together for a better and more sustainable future
