Be Aware of Cyber Bullying and Abuse

Cyber bullying, a global problem; the use of technological platforms to harass or threaten, embarrass or target another person. Technology has a two-way effect on children, adolescents and the whole community, both positive and negative. Although all individuals in general are affected by these positive and negative effects, children and adolescents are more affected. The widespread use of the Internet, smartphones and social media makes students confront cyberbullying, sometimes as victims and sometimes as bullies. Cyberbullying behaviors range from insulting, offending, threatening to harassing. Malicious people sometimes kill children and young people through infected links, game sites or live broadcasts. Research shows that the target of cyberbullies is often vulnerable, low self-confidence and low parental control. According to research, one out of four adolescents is a victim of cyberbullying. For this reason, this project has been prepared to raise awareness of students, parents and teachers about this important and global problem and to realize their coping skills.
