AI & Green STEM: Digital Future and Green Citizens

Our eTwinning project ‘Artificial Intelligence and Green STEM: Digital Future and Green Citizens’ is an innovative educational initiative at the intersection of sustainable development and digital transformation. With Spain and Turkey as initiating partners, this project aims to develop the digital skills of students aged 7-16 using artificial intelligence, environmental awareness and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) disciplines. As part of an international learning community, our students will explore the role of artificial intelligence in creating sustainable solutions, grow as environmentally conscious digital citizens and generate creative solutions to global problems. In the project, we aim to increase cultural and scientific interaction by encouraging the participation of schools and teachers from different countries. By developing content suitable for each country's own educational ecosystem, we will ensure that students take an active role through project-based and experiential learning methods. Through activities supported by artificial intelligence applications, environmental sustainability projects and digital tools, students will be trained as individuals who will lead the green and digital societies of the future. Basque Country (Spain) and Turkey will acquire green skills and improve their critical thinking by collaborating on STEAM projects. Basque students from 12 to 16 will taken mentor role share their experience to younger Turkish students from 10 to 12 by using mentoring methodology. Together, they will improve their STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) competences.
