Hey everyone!

I’m super happy and proud to share that I was recently nominated as a moderator for this group! 😊

A little about me—I’m a Maths and Physics teacher at a high school in Italy, and I live in Genova. I’ve been an eTwinner since 2009, won a European prize, four National awards and got two special mentions along the way.

I would like to turn this group into a real community where we can connect, share, and learn from each other. To kick things off, I’d love for everyone to introduce themselves by adding a post to this ! Let’s get to know each other better.

I’m really excited to collaborate with fellow STEM teachers working on eTwinning projects.

I believe that together, we can build an active space to share ideas, exchange experiences (both successes and struggles!), and support each other in making our classrooms even better. Whether you’re looking for project ideas, teaching tips, or just want to chat with like-minded STEM educators— This group is here for it!

I already have a bunch of ideas for activities and events we could do together, but I’d love to hear your suggestions too! What do you think would make this community even better? Drop your thoughts in the comments! Let’s make this group an amazing place for collaboration and growth. 🚀💡

If you like to be informed about events or activities organized in the group, please, fill form. You can decide not to receive the mails whenever you want and your data will be used only for these purposes.

NEW PODCAST ALERT: Countering Gender Stereotypes in STEM!

Dear eTwinners,

I’m excited to share a brand-new episode of the Teachers of Europe podcast that shines a spotlight on a topic close to our hearts: overcoming gender stereotypes in STEM education. Hosted by Rute Baptista, the episode features compelling insights from educators across Europe—Mladen Šljivović (Serbia), Rafael Montero (Spain), and Iro Koliakou (Greece)—who examine how early stereotypes and social norms can undermine students’ confidence and belonging in STEM, especially during critical school transitions Eurisko.

Drawing on findings from the 2024 NESET analytical report, the discussion explores how classroom dynamics impact the gender gap in STEM and offers practical strategies, such as:

  • Gender-sensitive teaching methods
  • Fostering inclusive learning environments
  • Showing positive role models to enhance student engagement and equity Eurisko

You can listen to the episode using this link or  by searching for “Teachers of Europe” on the EU Academy platform, Spotify, or Apple Podcasts

I am looking for a hard-working and responsible co-founder in the above project. The project would start in early September and end in May, and in June we would submit an application for national quality labels. We are an eTwinning school and I am personally a winner of European quality labels for projects, so I would like the co-founder to be hard-working and responsible and for the project to be a pleasure for all partners. Also, in addition to the co-founder, I am looking for partners from different countries. Contact me at anita.corak@skole.hr or in a private message on twinspace. Best regards, Anita

🎉 Our Group Logo is Ready!

We’re happy to announce that the official logo for our STEM eTwinning group is finally complete! 🙌

It took a bit longer than expected because we used the tool TurboMosaic, which required at least 49 tile images to generate the final composition. But it was worth the wait — the result is a true reflection of our collaborative spirit!

On the dedicated page of the group, you have all the details about the procedure.

Let us know what you think about this process in the comments!
