Read, See and Discuss the EU with young peopleÂ
The READY project created custom materials for young people to improve their awareness and understanding of EU treaties.

READY project logo
The READY project addresses a lack of awareness of EU treaties among young people. Although translated into the languages of all 27 member states, the documents are in legal language, which can be difficult to understand and make them seem irrelevant.
READY aims to
- Make the language of the treaties and policies accessible to young people
- Help young people understand the EU
- Teach young people about the real impact of the EU in people’s lives
- Foster quality and creative youth work
- Improve the skills and competences of the EU’s future work force
The materials are divided into three sections: reading, seeing and discussing.
- : a comprehensible compilation of the most relevant topics for young people from EU treaties
- : infographics that explain complex EU themes
- : key messages and policy recommendations for young people as well as social workers, organisations, education institutions and policymakers on local, national and EU levels
