Who are we?
Our institute is a public school, consisting of infant school (pupils from 3 to 5 years old), primary school (pupils from 5/6 to
10 years old) and secondary school (students from 11 to 13/14 years old).
The Institute embraces a vast territory that extends from the Porto - Cantiere Navale area to Arenella - Vergine Maria, in
which the socio-economic situation is often problematic with a high rate of unemployment and with a medium-low cultural
level. There are a lot of students who belong to economically and socially disadvantaged families. Most students are not
motivated in studying, and we believe that European projects may also be a good solution to involve them.
Our school plays a main role in the social life of our students and this is one of the main reasons why we are applying for this
accreditation in order to improve our school offer.
