The Lagkada High School is housed in a spacious and modern space, just outside the town of Lagkada. It has a large courtyard, classrooms, an indoor gym, computer and chemistry laboratories, a remarkable library, as well as a psychologist-social worker and school mediation office. It has a defibrillator and certified students and teachers to use it. The educational process is based on the detailed curricula of the Ministry of National Defense, with the aim of developing students' skills and preparation. Teachers also plan and use a wide range of educational and social activities that promote experiential learning. They participate in environmental, cultural and health programs, eTwinning, humanitarian organizations (kinds save lives of the European Resuscitation Council), teaching visits, briefings by experts, as well as groups (Library, Creative Writing, Traditional Dances, Programming, Conscious Naturalism, Byzantine Monuments of Our Country, Theater Workshop). Students participate actively and voluntarily, experiencing equal opportunities and equal dialogue and develop actions and initiatives within the framework of the institution of student communities. Thus, no phenomena of school dropout and intra-school violence are observed.
