Berdyansk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) is one of the oldest and most powerful higher educational institutions of South-East of Ukraine (Zaporizhzhya region). BSPU was located on the coast of the Sea of Azov. But February 24, 2022, divided the lives of all Ukrainians into 'before' and 'after'... Berdiansk was occupied on the third day of the full-scale invasion and BSPU was relocated to Zaporizhzhia.
The university educates more than 4,000 students across its five faculties: Faculty of Preschool, Special and Social Education; Faculty of Psychological and Pedagogical Education and Arts; Faculty of Physical, Mathematical, Computer, and Technological Education; Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Human Health; and Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The university offers 86 degree programs at the Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral levels. As a pedagogical university, most programs focus on teacher training. BSPU prepares teachers in various disciplines including:
Ukrainian Language and Literature, Mathematics, History, Physics, Computer Science, Labor Training and Technologies, Physical Education, Musical Arts, Biology and Human Health, Choreography, English Language and Literature, History etc.
Each program provides students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for successful professional activity in educational institutions.
