SUSTAINABILITY IN THE KITCHEN: EAT HEALTHY ACROSS EUROPE

The project brings together students from six European schools (mostly vocational catering ones) in an attempt to educate them, their families and local communities to adopt sustainable lifestyles, to motivate them to act for the environmental and human well-being through eating behaviours, expression of cultural identity. The European food traditions will widen the learning environment as Europe has different food systems and eating habits that can be united by the same quality to be sustainable; this requires a change in lifestyle, in particular as regards food production and consumption; the best approach is prevention through healthy eating and active living habits that stand the test of time. To that end, we found relevant to target students aged 14-18 as they will become the next generation aware of the ecological benefits of a sustainable production and consumption. This project will be continued and developed as an Erasmus+ project for March deadline.
