The Liceo Classico e Musicale “D. Cirillo” is a high secondary school located in Aversa, a town in the South of Italy, near Naples. It is one the oldest and most prestigious grammar schools in the territory and it has always represented a major learning and training centre for the youth living in the area. The “Liceo Cirillo” has broaded its educational offer in the last few years and now it is possible to
choose among several training paths: Traditional Liceo Classico, Liceo Musicale, International Liceo Classico Cambridge (which involves teaching and learning certain subjects in English, with the support of native speaking teachers), Liceo Classico delle Comunicazioni (where students also study non-verbal and multimedial languages) e Liceo Classico Biomedico (which allows to acquire a deeper knowledge of biology to support possible future choices of biomedical studies). The main goal of the school has always been to allow its students to build a rich cultural Knowledge and to acquire those interpersonal and existential skills that are necessary to be good citizens, to respect people and the social, cultural and environmental context in which they live and to be able to find their way among the difficulties of the contemporary world.
Our students' main expertise is in the fields of classical, historical and artistic studies and they often take part in projects concerned with the knowledge and promotion of the historical and artistic heritage of our territory.
