Time.

We are starting a new project on sustainability, around the concept of time. A central and basic concept in science as well in socio-political and economical terms, time determines almost every aspect of our lifes. Notwithstanding, we have not been able yet to go beyond St. Augustine's famous perplexity words: "What then is time? If no one asks me, I know what it is. If I wish to explain it to him who asks, I do not know." As we have been doing last years, we would like to continue working on the mixing up of art and science. This time (!), our project will depart from the photography workshop with our collaborator institution A Bao A Qu (https://www.abaoaqu.org/en). Lost time, free time, working time, productive time, caring time, busy time, leisure time... But, what is (really) time? How does our brain perceive(produce) it? How do we use time? Are there differences in different countries (yet)? What are the implications of this use of time in terms of sustainability/quality of life? These are some of the miscellaneous questions that should work as springbroads for our research actions in the time to come (sic). "The main problem is knowing what kind of activity should fill our leisure time." Aristotle said. And it is still an open question.
