Our beauty-full world: European wonders

We are all European citizens. The European Union promotes peace, its values and the well-being of its citizens. It is founded on the values of human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights. In this framework, we have chosen to promote our common values and to enhance our students' and teachers' civic engagement and participation. Parallel, we aim to raise awareness among students about the meaning, essence and role of cultural identity, pointing out the cultural similarities and differences among them and broaden the vision of our common European heritage. We believe that our main goal is combined inseparably with many Key competencies which include knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed by all for personal fulfilment and development, employability, social inclusion and active citizenship. The European Commission supports and reinforces the development of key competencies and basic skills for all, from an early age and throughout life. It has identified eight key competencies needed for personal fulfilment, a healthy and sustainable lifestyle, employability, active citizenship and social inclusion but in this programme we will mostly focus on • Literacy • Multilingualism • Digital and technology-based competencies • Interpersonal skills, and the ability to adopt new competencies • Active citizenship • Cultural awareness and expression This eTwinning collaboration will go hand in hand with the strategic partnership, an Erasmus+ KA220 program, which has just started. It will last two school years and will work supplementary to it. The five partner schools, Colegio Santa Cecilia, Liceo "E. Ainis", 1st Lyceum of Giannitsa, Agrupamento de Escolas de Ponte de Sor, and Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace Im. ks. Piotra Skargi w Sedziszowie Mlp., implementing the proposed schedule of activities, will strive to fulfil their objectives and share within their schools, and with the European school community, the produced materials and gained knowledge.
