Mathematical faces of Art

"Mathematical Faces of Art" is a unique educational project that aims to combine two seemingly distant fields - mathematics and art. We want to take children on a fascinating journey, during which learning mathematics becomes a pleasure, and art reveals its geometric and logical faces. The project encourages children to observe, discover and create, developing their curiosity, creativity and aesthetic sensitivity. Through play and creative activities, students will learn to see mathematical elements in art, such as: geometric shapes, symmetry, proportions, rhythms, perspective, spatial figures. Children will get to know the works of selected famous painters, such as Piet Mondrian, Wassily Kandinsky, Leonardo da Vinci, M.C. Escher, Salvador Dali, to see mathematical elements in them. Then they take on the role of artists themselves, creating their own works using the techniques and concepts they have learned.
