Environmental sustainability is a topical issue with a strong international interest. Over the last few years people have become increasingly familiar with the colored squares of the Sustainable Development Goals, seventeen targets focused on a holistic improvement of economy and society. SDGs are contained in an action plan on which governments of the 193 U.N. members reached an agreement, with a commitment to achieve them by 2030. The proposed project is based on two of the SDGs, Life below water and Life on land, and aims to discover how much the biodiversity of water and soil near us is changing (or at risk of changing) because of the rapidly evolving climate conditions. Students will, with the help of teachers, discover which animals and plants of their region are in danger or are modifying their habits in order to survive in different environmental conditions.
