Exhibitions as active learning experiences

Key spaces such as museums and exhibitions are vital for informal learning. They offer untapped potential for communicating social, cultural and scientific information, correcting misconceptions, and improving attitudes and cognitive skills. They can inspire creativity and celebrate different perspectives. However, too frequently this learning is passive, overly relying on the curator’s path and the individual’s connection.

Survey on creativity - Results

Creativity is undoubtedly one of the most important processes and blend of skills and attitudes that can help young people thrive in the world today. However, most respondents in this survey feel that there are not enough opportunities for creative activities in schools.

On 3 March 2020 an exceptional discussion took place between two classes of the Cité Scolaire Claude Bernard in Paris and the Dardenne brothers, Belgian filmmakers who have twice won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, about their latest film Le Jeune Ahmed (Young Ahmed).
