DON'T BE A BULLY

Peer bullying is an undesirable situation that is frequently encountered in our schools today. Peer bullying is defined as a form of repeated aggressive behaviour that harms the student physically, emotionally or socially within the peer group. There is a power inequality between the child who shows bullying behaviour and the child who is bullied. Generally, the child who is bullying may be older, physically stronger or from a socially more crowded group. Contrary to popular belief, peer bullying is not only seen as physical bullying. Physical bullying is only one of the types of peer bullying. Verbal or social bullying is also a common type of bullying. In order to prevent peer bullying, it is important to raise awareness, develop empathy and make them feel safe. Peer bullying can be prevented with appropriate measures.
