Sustainability and Cultural Heritage – Responsibility for the Future of Europe

As part of the Erasmus+ project, students from Berlin and the Netherlands are working together to explore how young people can take responsibility for the future of Europe. Under the central theme Sustainability and Cultural Heritage, they engage with socially relevant questions from multiple perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of ecological, cultural, and social challenges across Europe. The exchange aims to combine intercultural learning with hands-on engagement. Key objectives include the development of problem-solving skills, the encouragement of creative thinking, and a thoughtful approach to environmental and cultural issues. Participants learn how sustainability is implemented in various areas of society and reflect on the role of cultural identity in an increasingly globalized world. A central element of the project is collaboration in international teams. This promotes not only communication skills in English, but also fosters tolerance, openness, and teamwork. Students learn how to present their ideas effectively and take responsibility within shared projects. The project creates meaningful opportunities for exchange, collaboration, and learning – encouraging young people to actively contribute to and shape the future of Europe.
