Among the planned excursions and visits, the Fossoli Camp and the Carpi Deportee Museum hold particular significance as sites of profound historical and educational value.

Just six kilometers outside Carpi, in Fossoli, the remains of a camp built in 1942 by the Royal Army to house enemy soldiers are still present. This site was transformed in December 1943 by the Italian Social Republic into a concentration camp specifically for Jewish people.

A unique structure inaugurated in 1973, the Monumento al Deportato Museum is a powerful expression of the civic engagement of artists who were themselves witnesses to the events they depict.

The course offers 35 hours of morning sessions, carefully designed to accommodate varying skill levels and existing historical understanding. The afternoons will be enriched by cultural activities, guided visits, and scheduled excursions. Educational workshops are conducted in partnership with the Fossoli Foundation and the Historical Institute of Modena.

Optional activities include a guided tour of the city of Modena and a full-day trip to Venice, which can be booked upon enrollment for an additional fee. Other activities may be available to participate in locally.
