Empowering Teachers to Support Female Students (Entrepreneurship)

European women have a lower perception of entrepreneurship as a career choice, compared to men. They are less likely to say that starting a business is easy, less likely to believe they have the skills to start a business and to be undeterred by failure/s once they become successful.
This is the issue we need to tackle and attitude we need to change when the time is right - while still in school.

Description

Business and finance are two interconnected fields that encompass a wide range of activities and professions. They lay a crucial role in entrepreneurship, as well as they are integral aspects of starting, running, and growing a successful business venture. While entrepreneurship encompasses various other aspects, such as innovation, marketing, and operations, business and finance are essential components that entrepreneurs need to understand and effectively manage to establish and grow their ventures successfully. Business focuses on the broader aspects of managing organizations and delivering products or services, finance specifically deals with the management of financial resources and making informed decisions to optimize financial performance.

This 5 days' course is designed to empower and support particularly female teachers in becoming effective role models for female students. Their role is critical.

The course aims to address the unique challenges that female students face once they step out of their classrooms and enter the labour market and provide teachers with the skills needed to support and mentor them – while they are still in their classrooms.

Course will cover a range of topics including building confidence and self-esteem, addressing gender stereotypes and biases, promoting growth mindset and resilience, addressing the fear of failure and creating a supportive classroom environment.

It aims to address the gender gap that exists in these fields and provide teachers with the knowledge, skills, and resources female students need. The course will cover a range of topics including an introduction to entrepreneurship, focusing on business and finance, overcoming challenges and breaking down barriers.
