Description

Education institutions are under increasing pressure to become responsive to student needs, and there is growing scrutiny of their role in local communities. By supporting entrepreneurs, institutions can broaden the student experience and make an economic and social impact. The EDUpreneurship training aims to make education more student-led, through the implementation of entrepreneurship programs for its students.

 

 

Main aims of the course:

  • To understand the key forces and challenges in the education sector creating opportunities for entrepreneurs;
  • To develop an approach to identifying promising opportunities for entrepreneurship-driven education tools and schools;
  • To determine ways to replicate, scale, and sustain successful educational enterprises;

Ƶing objectives

The course aims at equipping those involved in education with tools that will enhance their competencies and skills to provide their students with the opportunity to develop their entrepreneurship skills. Having learnt those skills they will be able to facilitate entrepreneurship programs in their class as well as with their colleagues.  Specific objectives of the course are:

  • Advanced understanding of essential elements of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship
  • Developed an understanding of how cross-sectoral cooperation can support entrepreneurs
  • Developed understanding of how to make their classes more business-oriented

Methodology & assessment

The methodology of this training is based on a formula: minimum theory + maximum practice + feedback = accelerated growth. The methods used during the training are as follows: presentations, individual and pair exercises, group work and reflection, brainstorming, peer support, and games.

Furthermore, the methodology of the training course also includes a learner-centred approach and a focus on enhancing continuous personal development. The aim of the training is not to produce ready-made solutions (passive learning) but to inspire the participants to search creatively for knowledge and effective solutions, which are connected to their needs and challenges (active learning). In this way, the participants take responsibility for their own learning process and act as active partners in the training.

Assessment of the course combines formal and non-formal assessment methods such as self-evaluation at the end of the course and formal evaluation forms provided by the organisation.


Materials, digital tools & other learning resources

This course equips educators with interactive materials, edupreneurship toolkits, and digital tools to foster entrepreneurial thinking in education. Participants engage with case studies, scenario-based learning, and self-assessment tools to enhance creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Practical resources support integrating business concepts and innovation into teaching.
