SDGs Tour Around the World in 80 Days

The SDGs Tour Around the World in 80 Days eTwinning project aims to engage students in collaborative activities that promote the pleasure of reading and writing. Through these Sustainable Digitally Guided trips around the world, students will get to know about other countries, their culture and their literature, which hopefully will be the source of inspiration for writing their own news articles, record podcasts and recreate live broadcasts of current events related to the countries visited and the potential of the latest technologies. They will make use of well-known adventure stories, either digital or in paper, to become journalists and reporters in order to write their own newspaper articles, biographies, sponsor ads, job ads, articles on inventions and curiosities. Consequently, doing their bit in favour of making a better world, sharing their knowledge about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 2030 UN Agenda or other social matters of their choice. The use of diverse ICT tools will enable them to share ideas and develop their creativity. All the stories written and illustrated by the transnational teams will be compiled in an audio-visual e-book. Students will work with different differentiated resources and will collaborate in a wide range of activities. The project will last 8 months from October to May, but during September, we (teachers) will start preparing activities.  Notice that we, Céline and Neus, the founders of the project, are 2 teachers who have been working together for more than 4 years now and are used to share all the materials we create and use in our classes during the projects. Therefore, we expect that the teachers who want to join us in our projects do the same.
