Noise is a growing issue in schools. It disrupts learning, concentration, and student well-being. This project aims to raise awareness about noise management and respectful sound environments

Responsible Silence: The Sound of Respect, the Echo of Citizenship

What if a simple sound wave became a lever for civic education? What if every decibel was an opportunity to learn how to live better together? And what if technology helped us celebrate what unites us: respect, listening, kindness? Project Concept: Responsible Silence is much more than a technical project. It is a civic adventure, where students become creators of solutions to make their environment more peaceful, fairer, and more inclusive. Thanks to the Arduino board, students will design an intelligent system to measure noise levels in classrooms. When the sound level becomes too high, a gentle yet meaningful alert is triggered—light or sound—a reminder that respect for others begins with awareness of the group. Why this project? Because silence… speaks. It speaks of attention to those who have difficulty concentrating. It speaks of respect during group work. It speaks of shared well-being, of living together, of active citizenship. It speaks of what brings us together, beyond languages, cultures, and borders.
