This is a short project to celebrate European Day of Languages. Students have to create postcards that will depict their country. They can write both in their mother tongue and in English words. The postcards will be displayed on tTwinspace and can be shared with the rest of the school on the 26th of September as part of a bigger celebration. We will send and receive postcards from all over Europe. Then we will share photos of our class, writing and receiving the cards on a Digipad and create a big display with all the postcards in our schools. It will be our collaborative task as we need all the cards to do it. We will also share songs in different languages too and will share these during our online meetings. We also hope to create collaborative games and organise additional activities after the 26th September for those members who want a longer engagement with the topic. The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the Europe’s rich linguistic diversity and encourage lifelong language learning in and out of school. Students will be familiarised with other European languages, develop their creativity and learn about other European countries in a fun way.
