The schoolyear theme of eTwinng is active citizenship. Future teachers give children the tools in order to became active citizens.Active citizenship is a pedagogical approach to give pupils a practical experience of democratic action and community involvement. It involves pupils in learning how to take part with others in activities designed to make a positive difference to the world around them. This project will develope an international cooperation among future teachers, their placement classes and all the community actors ( librarians, families, associations) . They will start from a common daily topics as houses, food, clothes to find out similarities and differences in a common vision to know and respect each others.Citizenship education has become an education policy priority at EU level. The goal is to enable young people to develop self-awareness as members of a social group, and then possibly play a role and become active citizens at local, national or EU level
