EARLY STEM THİNKİNG JOURNEY

Creating awareness in students by using science, technology, engineering and mathematics together in the preschool period is possible with an education programme such as STEM, which teaches by doing and living, away from rote learning. In addition, STEM easily enables the acquisition of 21st century skills (creative solutions to problems, critical thinking, innovation, problem solving, productivity, etc.). It integrates students' experiences and what they have learnt. Improves problem solving skills. Preschool children are complete researchers, incredibly curious, their creativity levels are extremely high. Since STEM education is based on research, it is one of the most effective methods in the permanent learning of preschool children. It is one of the important approaches that nurture and support creativity. Therefore, we will use STEM education in this project. We will design, develop materials and products through teamwork with our students. We will move from the first two steps of Bloom's taxonomy to the application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation steps. By using advanced learning skills, we will use STEM plans to realise the UN's sustainable development goals of quality pre-school education, climate action, aquatic life, terrestrial life and air pollution. We will support some of the processes in STEM plans at home with family participation.
