Teaching is an interactive, reciprocal relationship between the lecturer and his or her students. It is an educational process based on a sound understanding of learning outcomes and how to achieve them. In light of this, the school teacher must have specific tasks and responsibilities toward their students, just as the students have similar tasks and responsibilities toward the teacher.
As a teacher at Janaa School, my responsibilities include providing my students with the following:
· Creating a welcoming, sophisticated, and safe academic environment that stimulates the learning process. This includes providing a good learning environment for students to learn and encouraging them to work in small groups. This helps them collaborate with others, share their ideas, and take responsibility for their own success. It is preferable for this environment to be tailored to their cognitive levels, abilities, and interests.
· Providing appropriate conditions, such as presenting new problems and connecting them to the student's life, and providing appropriate time and study materials.
· Providing diverse sources of information and knowledge, both scientific and practical, that help them excel and succeed in their lives.
· Providing educational materials, books, and scientific references from the Ministry of Education offices.
· Using available educational tools and modern technologies through scientific presentations given by some students during class to facilitate the subject matter.
· Allocating two office hours per week to guide and direct students in the Arabic language and answer their questions.
· Adopting appropriate feedback to make changes or adjustments to teaching to suit the learners' circumstances and conditions in the classroom environment.
· The teaching method used must be flexible and adaptable in light of new developments in the classroom.
· Defining the educational objectives of the course, the methods, techniques, means, activities, and experiences for implementing educational tasks, the tools and equipment available for implementation, and the time and place of implementation.
· Developing the personality of students to achieve learning from various aspects: cognitive, skill-based, and emotional, by stimulating and enhancing their motivation in a way that makes them more successful and excel in their academic and professional lives.
· Encouraging students to think critically and creatively, and develop decision-making and problem-solving skills by engaging them in the use of sustainable inquiry methods in Arabic language and technology in the classroom environment.
· Presenting scientific knowledge in a manner that is understandable and meaningful to students, consistent with their previous experiences, the nature and structure of science, and the objectives of teaching literary and grammatical subjects.
· Organize the knowledge presented in a coherent and consistent manner, enabling the learner to understand each step, its application, its transformations, and its basic skills.
· Ensure the use of modern technology in the teaching process to make the material more useful and enjoyable.
· Identify diagnostic and summative assessment tools that demonstrate progress and success.
· Identify feedback tools (questionnaires, reports, interviews, direct questions), etc.
· Praise and encourage diligent students by praising them, increasing their good treatment, and allocating certain marks for this.
· Pay attention to and encourage underachievers and weak students, increasing their explanation and clarification, and supporting them until their level improves.
· Clarify the purpose of exams as strengthening students' knowledge throughout the semester. Help and support low-performing students and students who suffer from shyness to increase their academic achievement.
Since I have exceptional students, they have duties towards their assigned professor and their colleagues, which helps them perform their work effectively and efficiently. Therefore, my students' responsibilities include:
· Commitment to attending class at the beginning of class and not being late.
· Taking responsibility for the activities and tasks assigned to them and working to complete them.
· Focusing and asking questions about any difficulties they may encounter.
· Respecting the opinions of others, avoiding imitation, and being tolerant and accepting of different opinions.
· Working to apply the skills and methods of problem-solving and identifying learned through the course in their personal and professional lives. We ask God to make our work sincerely for His sake and to grant us success, guidance, and righteousness.
