I´m a psychologist in Colégio O Cantinho dos amigos, situated in Seixal, Lisbon, Portugal. Our students’ ages range from 4 mouths to 11 years old.
My principal objective is advocating for students’ well-being and promoting their educational and personal advancements. As a school psychologist, it is my job to listen to our students’ concerns about academic, emotional or social problems and help them process and excel in the school environment. Another part of my job is to meet and work with parents, teachers and other health professionals, such as speech-language pathologist or pediatricians, to discuss learning, behavioral and family problems. I am also responsible for implementing a project called CAPA (Creative, Autonomous, Pacific and Amorous) which promotes social and emotional skills.
