I’m working at Sincan/Ankara Şehit Özgür Can İnce Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. I have been a Computer Technologies Teacher for 16 years. I’m a lab chief, and a Erasmus+ Project coordinator, and a TUBITAK 4006 Project coordinator and a Robotic Club Advisor as a volunteer at my school. In our school, which is a vocational high school; It provides full-time education and training with 10 administrators, 133 teachers and 1270 students. I am in charge of providing education and training in the field of informatics to young individuals between the ages of 14-18. My aim as a vocational high school teacher is; to bring my students to business life as entrepreneurs, individuals with high self-confidence, who have acquired the professional knowledge, skills and business habits in accordance with the current needs of national and international sectors, and who have adopted their professional ethics understanding, and on the other hand, to prepare them for real life and higher education. And as an Information Technologies Teacher; I want to raise awareness of my students about ICT. I want my students to get involved into the teaching-learning process and to create real-life situations for them. On account of this, as a youth VET worker, I write Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2 projects and contribute our VET youths who are our future to get professional skills. I encourge them to develop lasting skills and qualities and can affect the lives of young people, especially vocational and educational trainees. My responsibilities as lab chief are; to maintain and repair the laboratory, to ensure that it is ready for use, and to perform other duties given by the headmaster. As a volunteer project manager; I am engaged in activities to contribute to the development of the institutional capacity of our school, to enable our teachers and students to undertake more qualified works in projects and studies, and to create a quality synergy and cooperation in the fields of education. Also we have 20 social clubs for the personal and social development of our young people. Besides making their courses more vivid and active I want to increase their self-confidence and enthusiasm about information technology. CONTACT PERSON Burcu ÇOBAN’s Experiences: In 2002, at Erciyes University; my first youth experience as a volunter in AEGEE/European Students Society. I was in the project management team. It is truly life changing and most definitely give me the life skills and confidence to go on and achieve anything I put my mind to. In 2008, after having my master degree; in the 8th National Science and Mathematics Education Congress; I presented a poster paper on “The Effects of Individual and Collaborative Problem-Based Ƶing on Students' Academic Achievement, Creativity and Transfer Skills” In 2016, as a volunteer, I was in a Youth Exchange activities of disabled youths from foreign countries hosted by the “The Foundation of Barrier Free Society”, which conducts youth exchanges. I wrote KA105 Erasmus+ Youth Project we applied for in order to realize the youth mobility that we organized for young people with fewer opportunities, and I experienced in the field of youth programs.The improvement of my practical preparation for Erasmus+ Youth Exchange included knowledge and experience gained, increased skills, competences, and achievements.Through the all youth exchanges I performed, I shared, explored and adapt how to improve our Youth Exchanges with other young leaders and workers. The youth Project I worked for my organization: May I help you - sport animator for blind people https://www.facebook.com/canihelpyousportanimator/ In 2018, by means of Salto-Youth Projects, I had training with the subject: Quality matters II! A cross-sectoral approach to Erasmus+ mobility projects, in Poland- Warsaw, between 05-08/06/2018. I learned how to identify what are the key factors for successful implementation of the project, how to identify differences and similarities between sectoral approaches to mobility support, how to transfer best practices and tools between sectors, and how to promote mobility as a learning process. As a volunteer youth worker in my school; taking part in Erasmus+ projects was a life changing experience not only for developing professional, education and employability skills but the building of new partnerships and relationships. I write, manage and coordinate Erasmus+ projects and e-Twinning projects so that young people and teachers can explore and reflect subject matter, test and try out new ideas, acquire new knowledge-skills, create new values, and build self-efficacy and self-esteem. The Erasmus+Projects I wrote, coordinated and participated as a youth leader: In 2015, with the number: KA102- 018534, "Secure Networks, Secure Computing" project, I successfully completed internship training with my students trainings on computer networks in Dorsten / Germany. In 2015, with the number: KA102-016642, "Direct Shift Gearbox Şanzıman Eğitimi ve Stajı" project, I was a project coordinator team member. In 2016, with the number: KA102-030632, "The Most Important Job of Our Age; Mobile Application Development " project, I participated not only as a participant but also as a project coordinator for student and staff training on Mobile Application in the capital city of Hungary in Budapest. In 2018, with the number: KA102-056618, “Sincan Mtal Robotik Eğitimi’nde!”Project is about trainning robotics. I participated not only as a participant but also as a project coordinator for student and staff training on Robotics in Vienna. In 2019, with the number: KA102-067952, “Hibrit-Otomobil Mekatroniği Stajı ve Personel Eğitimi” I participated not only as a participant but also as a project coordinator for staff training on Hibrid-Cars in Münih, Germany. In 2019, with the number: KA229-076431_1 “Mesleki Eğitimde Girişimcilik Eğitimi” I participated not only as a trainer but also as a project coordinator for l Ƶing / Teaching / Training activity on Entrepreneurship in Italy. Also, I coordinate Ministry of Education National Projects, TÜBİTAK 4006 with the subject “İnternet Bağımlılığı” in 2018 and in 2019 with the subject “Girişimci Gençlik” for one year for each one. In 2023, with “METEK III is run in cooperation with the Directorate General of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education, Technical Assistance for Improving the Quality of Vocational Education and Training through Establishment of Sectoral Centres of Excellence” Project, I participated as a learner in Malaga/Spain, for two weeks. The aim of the project is to increase the quality of vocational and technical education by developing the knowledge, skills and competencies.
